| "BUKA/24MR70/T.P. & N.G." (North Solomons Province) and Registration label "R/BUKA/NO. 44/T.P.& N.G." on 30c Murex Ramosus on registered cover to Henley Beach S.A. with backstamps "REGISTERED/25MR70/RABAUL" and "REGISTERED ADELAIDE/1-P-1AP70/5/STH AUST". Postmarker BC-1. "Garwood & Heward" state Opening Date as 24 May 1970 whilst "Premier Postal" state 23 March 1970. Rabaul and Adelaide Postmarks show that "G. & H" Month is incorrect. BC-1 opened this officew and in its modified form may have been used until the office was burnt down in January 1990. However, there was evidence in May 1989 that only BC-2 was being used. BC-1 with the "T" and "&" removed but it is not known when this occurred.
