(Western Province) and Registration label "R/WASUA/NO. 216" on 5d Javelin, 5d High Jump and 2/3 Running on registered Air Mail cover to Kirkcaldy SA. with backstamps "WASUA", "REGISTERED ? PNG", "ADELAIDE" and "HENLEY BEACH". Postmarker WS-1 was in use from 10 September 1962 to the closure of this office on 10 December 1969 as Asia Pacific Christain Mission activities were concentrated at Balimo and Kawito (Wasua was the station for the Mission). Mission sources reported that the silting of the Fly River near Wasua was a factor for the closing.
