| "MALALAUA/07 OCT 1997/PNG" (Gulf Province) in BLACK on 50t 100 Years Radio on plain cover to Grange SA..Postmarker ML-3, a small trial CDS (24mm dia) was reported as having been sent to this office on 28 January 1997. This CDS, a multi-purpose marker, similar to that sent to Kandrian, is also for use on bank documents. The existence of ML-3 in early 1997 would appear to indicate that there was some Postal activity prior to October 1997 as two PPS Cover Service covers are dated 13 February 1997 (in red ink) and 7 October 1997 (in black ink).
