Australia 1971 (01 Feb) Space Cover stamped in blue "NAT. UNI. CANBERRA/- MOONSAMPLES -" and blue cachet "IMAGE HELICOPTER/SPACE CAPSULE ON SEA/TO/HONOUR/APOLLO/MISSION" and addressed to Glenelg S.A. with 6c orange QEII stamp cancelled "AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY CANBERRA A.C.T. AUST/1FE71". The Moon rocks, or lunar samples, from Apollo 14 are unique in that most of the 94 pounds of rocks are breccia, which are rocks that are composed of fragments of other, older rocks. Breccias form when the heat and pressure of meteorite impacts fuse small rock fragments together. In January 2019 research showed that Big Bertha, a 19.837 pound rock, has numerous characteristics that make it likely to be a terrestrial (Earth) meteorite. Big Bertha is both the first discovered terrestrial meteorite and the oldest known Earth rock (4 billion years old). (Launch date of APOLLO 14 was 21:03:02 UTC 31st January (07:03:02 AEST 1st February 1971)
