Dean's Bijou Favorite Series children's book No. 6 "Nursery Ditties". Die cut book with nine nursery rhymes, illustrated with four full colour pictures and six small line drawings.
The rhymes are 'A little cock sparrow', 'Little Jack Horner', 'Sing a song of sixpence', "Old Mrs Flipperty Flop", "Baa Baa Black Sheep", "Ding Dong Bell", "Polly put the kettle on", "Little boy Blue", and "There was a crooked man".
Published by Dean & Son Limited, 160a Fleet Street, London/International Art Publishing Co. Ltd., New York - Philadelphia - Chicago - Berlin - London. Date of publication would be around the 1890's.
Measures approximately 2¾ inches wide, and 6 inches high (7 cm x 15.5 cm). Some faults, including a creased cover. One strip of magic tape has been applied to the inside cover/first page (as shown). Three of the line drawings have been coloured in with water-colour, one has also been partially coloured in with red pencil.
